Greatest Possible Service
10 page photo insert
This book is a collection of approximately 160 letters written between my father, Thomas C. Colt, Jr. and his wife, Belle, during his service as an aviator during World War II. It is annotated with historical facts about the war in which my father served. He ended up spending the last year of his service in the Pacific, ultimately participating in the battles on Iwo Jima in the spring of 1945.
The book serves as a companion piece to the biography about my father, which only includes a short synopsis of his service.
